Why Cloth Diapers?

Before we dive into the brands, here’s a quick reminder why we chose cloth in the first place:

  • Budget-friendly
  • Better for baby’s skin
  • Gentler on the planet
  • And let’s be honest… some of them are just downright cute!

As a faith-based, budget-conscious mama, finding quality cloth diapers that hold up, look good, and don’t break the bank has been key. So here are the real-life winners (and a couple that didn’t quite make the rebuy list):

🌿 1. Nora’s Nursery – My Tried-and-True Favorite

Price: Around $11 per diaper
Why I love them:

  • Made from high-quality materials
  • Easy to clean (huge win for this tired mama!)
  • Aesthetically pleasing—the designs are simple and lovely
  • Hold up beautifully, even after many washes

Pro tip: They frequently offer bundle deals and promotions, which is exactly why I bought a second set when baby #2 came along. I don’t often rebuy diapers, but these were too good to pass up!

📌Nora’s Nursery

🐘 2. wegreeco – Budget-Friendly and Umbilical Cord Friendly!

Price: Usually under $7 per diaper
Why I love them:

  • Made from durable, soft material
  • Great fit from the newborn stage, thanks to the clever scrunch under belly area
  • And… Animal Party print. Yes, I totally use them for zoo days. Because sometimes this mama likes to be extra 😉

If you’re looking for something newborn-friendly without spending a fortune, these are a great option!

📌 wegreeco

☀️ 3. Mama Koala – Perfect for Hot Climates

Price: Under $6 per diaper
Why I love them:

  • Lightweight, making them perfect for warm places (hello, Arizona heat!)
  • Still just as absorbent as the others
  • Beautiful prints—I can’t resist a good pattern

These are a must-have in your stash if you live in a warmer climate or want a trimmer fit under summer outfits.

📌 Mama Koala

🌙 4. ALVABABY – My Go-To Overnight Diaper

Price: Typically under $5 per diaper
Why I love them:

  • Comes with two inserts per shell, making them great for overnight
  • Super absorbent, though a little bulkier
  • The most budget-friendly of all the diapers we use

For nighttime peace of mind (and more sleep!), ALVABABY has been a reliable choice.

🎁 5. Charlie Banana – Soft and Sweet

Price: Gifted, so unsure
Why I love it:

  • Soft lining that’s gentle on baby
  • Has held up well over time

While I only have one of these (a sweet gift), it’s been a nice addition to our rotation.

💧 6. Grovia All-In-One – Not a Favorite

Price: Gifted
Pros:

  • Extremely soft
  • Convenient with no stuffing required

Cons:

  • Unfortunately, it hasn’t held up as well as the others
  • I prefer pocket diapers for their flexibility and longer lifespan

🧷 Why I Prefer Pocket Diapers

I know some mamas don’t love stuffing diapers, but I’ve honestly gotten pretty quick at it! Pocket diapers are easier to clean and dry faster (which is great when you’re doing cloth diaper laundry on a regular basis). My wash routine works perfectly with them, so for me—they’re the clear winners.

🛒 So, Which Diapers Are Worth Buying?

If I had to start all over again, here’s how I’d build my stash:

  • Everyday use: Nora’s Nursery + wegreeco
  • Warm weather: Mama Koala
  • Overnight: ALVABABY
  • Newborn-friendly option: wegreeco
  • If you love soft textures: Charlie Banana (if it fits the budget)

💡 Remember, you don’t need to spend a fortune to build a solid stash. Mixing brands can be both economical and practical!
