Dear Mama, Your Purpose Is Holy (A Mother’s Day Letter from the Heart)

To the Mama who believes in the risen King—

You, who are balancing babies on your hip while making meals…

You, who’ve driven to school, practice, and the grocery store all before noon…

You, who clean mountains of laundry, wipe down highchairs, and reheat your coffee (again)…

You are living a beautifully, purpose-filled life—even when it doesn’t feel like it.

The world may not always see the holiness in your everyday moments, but heaven does. God sees it all. And He is so pleased.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” – Psalm 139:13

Just like God formed your little ones with intentional love, He formed you—and placed you in this exact season, in this exact home, with these exact children, on purpose. You were handpicked to be their mama.

Not by accident. Not by chance. But by the sovereign hand of our Creator.

You were called to motherhood by the same God who called the stars by name.

“He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” – Psalm 147:4

It’s easy to feel like you’re “just” a mom when the tasks are repetitive and exhausting. But what you do matters eternally. Every diaper changed, every car ride filled with praise music, every whispered bedtime prayer—it all echoes in eternity.

Motherhood isn’t a detour from your calling. It is your calling.

You are shaping little hearts for the Kingdom of God. You are planting seeds of faith that will grow into strong roots. You are creating a home where Jesus is known—not just in Bible stories, but in the way love is spoken, grace is given, and joy is found in the small things.

“Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

And even on the days you feel like you’re not enough, remember this:
Jesus is.

He is enough to fill the gaps. Enough to strengthen your heart. Enough to remind you that you’re not doing this alone.
He walks with you through the tantrums, the messes, the long nights, and the quiet doubts—because He loves you.
And He delights in watching you love your family with that same selfless, Christ-like heart.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

So this Mother’s Day, pause for just a moment.

Breathe in His grace.
Let His truth wash over you.
You are not unseen. You are not small.
You are deeply known, incredibly loved, and walking in a calling that reflects the heart of our Savior.

Happy Mother’s Day, sweet mama.
Keep going. You’re doing sacred work.

With all my heart,
Simple Faithful Mama
